The Facilities Centre is responsible for the buildings owned by the City of Kajaani and its subsidiaries. We rent facilities; provide business facility and maintenance services; take care of cost control and energy monitoring; handle design, planning and building development tasks, and prepare and implement the City’s facility programme.
The City owns approximately 240,000 square metres of business premises which it rents mainly to the City units, the City’s municipal enterprises and the Kainuu Social and Health Care Joint Authority.
The Facilities Centre’s aim is to ensure suitable facilities, the efficient use of the facilities and to maintain the properties’ financial and cultural-historical value.
The Facilities Centre has three separate departments, which are Maintenance and Construction, Design and Construction Contracting, and Facilities Services.
