Parks

Kajaani’s beautiful parks and green spaces bring nature and well-being to your door and make it a pleasure to live in and visit this city.  There are several parks close to the city centre where people like to exercise or spend time with family and friends, maybe over a picnic. The parks offer an excellent opportunity also for organising various events. Kajaani has about 60 hectares of parks maintained by the city. The City’s Planning and Construction Department is responsible for park design and the Urban Environment Department takes care of their maintenance.
