The City of Kajaani is responsible for maintaining a real estate register of the zoned area. There are a total of approximately 75 municipalities that are responsible for maintaining the nationwide real estate register. The City’s real estate register services are provided by an office-holder acting as a real estate registrar, i.e. the municipal real estate engineer. In Kajaani, the duties of a real estate engineer have been assigned to the City’s land surveyor under its administrative rule and the delegatory decisions of the Environmental Technology Committee.
