The aim of preschool is to advance the conditions for the child’s growth, development, and learning as well as strengthen the child’s positive self-image. It is essential to have active interaction between the adults and children, while also advancing peer learning. Preschool education is based on cooperation between the guardians, children, and preschool personnel. The child’s preschool learning plan is developed in cooperation with the child and their guardians. Preschool teaching methods include playing, experimenting and exploring as well as creative activities alongside adults and peer groups. In the daily activities of preschool education there are different themes, projects, and work in a functional learning environment.
Preschool (4 hrs per day) is free of charge but if these hours are exceeded, early childhood customer fees will come into effect. This fee is determined by the income of the family and the hours needed for child care.
Transportation is arranged in cooperation with basic education. In addition to preschool no transportation will be separately arranged for those in need of early childhood education.
